Max Jones(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Max ‘Mackey’ Jones, 60, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Jones was born September 10, 1948 to A.B. and Florea Jones in Portales, NM. They moved to Tulia in 1958. He graduated from Tulia High School. He married Elizabeth Edwards in 1976. He worked for Dale Swinburn for over 20 years. He married Joy Fewell in 1998. She died in 2001. Survivors include three daughters; Kimberly Jones of Canyon, Carmyn Harrison of Hobbs, New Mexico and Jill Holland of Bernice, Louisiana, one brother; Rex Jones and his wife Kay of Dumas, one sister-in-law; Judy Clark and her husband Dickie of Happy.
