Porfirio H. Garcia (Plainview)

Porfirio H. Garcia, 84, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be at 6:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Garcia was born on February 26, 1931 to Julian & Benita Garcia. He married Blasita Gonzales on April 18, 1960. He is preceded in death by two sons: Carlos J. Garcia and Porfirio Garcia, Jr. He is survived by his wife: Blasita Garcia of Plainview; six daughters: Linda Rivera & husband Juan of Lockney, Eva Nord & husband Cody of Round Rock, Debbie Landa & husband Paul of Snyder, Josie Brown & husband Bill of Edmonson, Norma Garcia & J.B. Underwood of Carlsbad and Joann Rey & husband Rigo of Plainview; one son: Danny Garcia of El Paso; three sisters: Mary Lou Fuentes, Mary Carter and Petra Sanchez; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
