Tonei Chatham (Plainview)

Tonei Chatham, 57, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating and Mr. Jim Mock assisting. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Chatham was born on April 25, 1951, in Dumas, Texas to John and Geraldine Wood. She grew up all over before moving to Plainview as a teenager. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1969. She attended Texas Tech University. She was a travel agent and worked for Southwest Passage for many years. She was the church secretary for Grace Presbyterian Church where she was a member. She was also a member of the Junior Service League of Plainview and the P.T.A. She married Tommy Dale Chatham on September 19, 1980, in Plainview. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Chatham of Plainview; a son, Tad Chatham of Plainview; her mother, Jerri Wood of Lubbock; a brother, Johnny Wood and wife Teresa of Lubbock; and a sister-in-law, Cheri Trowbridge of Youngville, Louisiana.
