Birt Lane (Plainview)

Birt Lane, 86, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Northwest Church of Christ with Dee Teel and Lewis Senter officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey, Texas, under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Birt was born on November 13, 1928, to Leon and Lillie Lane in Turkey, Texas. He married Ina Ruth “Pat” Morrison on November 6, 1949, in Quitaque, Texas. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2009. He was a member of Northwest Church of Christ. He is survived by one daughter, Patti Miller and husband, Mark, of Floydada; three sons, Tim Lane and wife, Pam; Charles Lane and wife, Carol; and David Lane and wife, Debbie, all of Plainview. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Cade Miller.
