Gwendolyn Bertelson Mull Faver, 88, of Plainview passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Heckmann officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Faver was born on October 27, 1927 in Bosque County, Texas to Albert and Clara Bertelson. She moved to Plainview as a child and attended schools here. She married James E. Mull and he preceded her in death in 1961. She worked the farm after her husband’s death to provide for her children. She married Jack Faver in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1986. After the children were grown, Gwendolyn went to work for Gebo’s before retiring in 1996. She was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and participated in the choir. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her two husbands; son, James E. Mull, Jr.; son-in-law, Ennis Faver; 7 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 grandson, 1 great grandson, and 1 great great granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Flatt and husband G.W. of Amarillo, Marilyn Faver of Midwest City, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Sharon Mull of Plainview; 4 granddaughters, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren with one on the way.
