Tulia, Texas—Avonna Kaye Milloway, 58, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Eddy Helms, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Avonna was born January 4, 1951 in Lubbock to Hulon and Claudeen Wall. She grew up in Lubbock and moved to Plainview as a teenager. She graduated from Plainview High School. She was a bookkeeper for High Plains Pavers for several years. She married Rick Milloway on January 17, 1976 in Plainview and moved to Tulia. She most recently worked part-time as a hostess at the El Camino Restaurant in Tulia. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She and her husband loved to ride motorcycles and go camping. She was a devoted caregiver to her parents for several years. Her greatest love, were her grandkids who knew her as “Nena”. Her family includes her husband, Rick of Tulia, her dog “Charley”, one son; Darren Milloway of Lubbock, two daughters; Teresa Covington and husband Robby of Chandler, Texas and Claudia Walker and husband Chris of Amarillo, three brothers; Larry Wall and his wife Linda of Sherman, Texas, Dickie Wall and his wife Cathy of Plainview and Bryan Wall of Amarillo, and her 8 grandchildren; Zachary Milloway of Tulia, Dakotah and Jenni Milloway of Lubbock, Nicole, Kamron and Ryan Covington of Chandler, Texas, Katie and Abbie Walker of Amarillo.
