Tulia, Texas— Remona Miller, 74, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the Central Church of Christ with Bruce Baird and Bob Colson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Remona was born February 1, 1935 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Leonard and Gertrude Holloway. She attended schools in Shallowater and Lubbock Roosevelt. She married Alvis Miller on May 3, 1951 in Lubbock. After their marriage they lived in Smyer. They moved to Tulia in 1959. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and a member of the Women Involved in Farming Economics (WIFE) for 25 years. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful artist. Survivors include her husband; Alvis Miller of Tulia, her daughter; Sharron Elaine Story and husband Larry of Lubbock, her son; Richard Alvis Miller and wife Gwen of Athens, four grandchildren; Brandon Story of Savannah, Texas, Shane Story of Ft. Worth, Tarah Miller of Athens and Jeremy Miller of Athens, three brothers and sisters-in-law; Joe Holloway and wife Mary of New York, Robert Holloway and wife Jeannie of Lubbock and Melwin Holloway and wife Sandy of Decatur, two sisters and one-brother-in-law; Anna Lou McDonald and husband Vern of Bakersfield, California and Maxine Weaver of Wichita Falls, a sister-in-law; Erica (Rickie) Holloway of Menden, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother Ernest Holloway.
