Diane Marie Milstead McAninch (Plainview)

Diane Marie Milstead McAninch, 60, of Conroe passed away on March 20, 2009, at Conroe Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Eddie Freeman of Cleburne, Texas officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visistation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Diane was born July 16, 1948 in Plainview, Texas. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. She lived in Plainview until moving to Conroe in 1988. She was a teacher’s assistant, both in Plainview and Conroe. She served on an advisory board for the Lone Star Clinic. She was a devoted grandmother, and her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Marie Milstead; and a niece, Christy Marie Chandler. She is survived by a daughter, Heather Coker and husband Cameron of Conroe; son, Trevor McAninch and wife Kandi of Haslet; six grandchildren, Chandler, Carson, and Carter Coker of Conroe, Walker, Connor, and Hunter McAninch of Haslet; two brothers, Richard Milstead of Walnut Shade, MO, David Milstead of Plainview; two sisters, Cathryn Chandler of Amarillo, Virginia Young of Weatherford. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Eldon Milstead Endowed Scholarship Fund at Wayland Baptist University, 1900 W. 7th, CMB-621, Plainview, Texas 79072, or charity of choice.
