Rex Davey (Plainview)

Rex Davey, 73, of Plainview went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Trinity Fellowship Church in Plainview with Rev. Steve Rogers officiating, assisted by Rev. Vance Mitchell. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Rex was born on March 31, 1936, in Parker, Kansas. He married Wanda Troutman on November 5, 1955. Rex loved his family and friends and most of all his Lord and Savior. He will be dearly missed and never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Opal Davey. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Davey of Plainview; three daughters & sons-in-law, Penny & Bud Taylor of Floydada, Shonda & Roger Lee of Flomot and Kandice & Hunt Whitehead of Southlake; five grandchildren, Jessica & Jordan Schupbach of Aurora, CO, Erin Ralston of Ft. Worth, Jenne Wesley of Ft. Worth and Hayden & Harrison Whitehead of Southlake; three great-grandchildren; four siblings, John & Shirley Davey of Plainview, Barbara & Jim Jackson of Plainview, Evonna McIntosh of Missouri and Joyce Burns of Missouri and a host of nieces and nephews.
