Tulia, Texas—Imelda Wesley, 77, died at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Tulia. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Mrs. Wesley was born October 24, 1928 in Nazareth, Texas. She grew up and attended schools in Ralph Switch, Happy and Canyon. She married Delbert Wesley on March 5, 1946 in Happy. They lived in Levelland, Enochs and Happy before moving to Tulia in 1958. She worked for Piggly Wiggly, B&R, and Joe Bob’s Grocery stores in the meat market dept. for 20 years. She retired in 1993. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Survivors include her husband; Delbert Wesley of Tulia, one daughter and son-in-law; Kathy and Refugio Benavidez of Clarendon, Texas, two sons and daughters-in-law; Mike and Mary Wesley of Lubbock and Ricky and Teresa Wesley of Amarillo, two sisters; Edith Irlbeck and Mary Johnson, both of Tulia, four grandchildren and spouses; Brian and Lyndetta Archer of Amarillo, Kincy and Lydia Wesley of Amarillo, Sierra Benavidez and Mariah Benavidez, both of Clarendon, three great grandchildren; Tatum Wesley, Emma Archer and Bella Archer, all of Amarillo. She is preceded in death by; her parents, Joseph and Olive Lange, three brothers, George Lange, Joe Lange and Albert Lange and three sisters; Gertrude Irlbeck, Sister Agnes Imelda and Sister Mary Michael.
