Penelope Lea Hernandez (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Penelope Lea Hernandez passed away peacefully in the arms of her mommy and daddy on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was 8 months old. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 in the Kornerstone Chapel. She was born on June 16, 2015 in Plainview to Jessica and Stephen Hernandez. Penelope touched many lives in the Tulia community and also many people of the surrounding areas. She was a blessing to her family and will be truly missed. She is survived by her parents: Stephen and Jessica Hernandez of Tulia, three brothers: Esteban Josiah Hernandez, Andres Ismael Hernandez and Jeremiah Adriel Hernandez, her grandparents: Roland Hernandez and wife Evonne of Tulia, David Rodriguez and wife Gloria of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Jesus Pando and wife Rosalinda of Tulia, her great grandparents: Maria Vera of Dimmitt, Alfredo Hernandez and wife Nellie of Tulia and Gilbert Galvan and wife Margarita of Combes, TX, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
