Troy E. Smith (Plainview)

Troy Earl Smith, 84, of Plainview passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 in Plainview. A Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Troy was born on September 4, 1931 in Canton, Texas to John and Billie Smith. He grew up in Canton before his family moved to Plainview in 1946. He farmed for many years and also did some Custom Harvesting. Troy also drove a truck for several years before retiring. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Wilkerson and husand Mike of Oklahoma; son, Franklin Smith and wife Treva of Banks, Oregon; sister, Rozlyn Cookston and husband Bill of Plainview; 3 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
