Troy Don Neeley, 80, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Silas Short officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Troy was born on November 10, 1935 in Hale Center, Texas to Troy and Elsie Neeley. He grew up in Hale Center and graduated from high school there. He worked at service stations before working for the Highway department. He then worked for Connor Mathis before owning and operating Automotive Supply for over 20 years. Troy did just about everything to support his family. He was a member of the Promenaders Square Dance Club and member of the Plainview Car Care. He loved to fish and loved to work with wood creating gun stocks. He also loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Survivors include his wife Melba Neeley of Plainview; two sons, Gregg Neeley and wife Del of Chatanooga, TN, Mike Neeley of Houston, TX; one daughter, Cindy Seago and husband Jackie of Plainview; three brothers, Jerry Neeley of DeLeon, TX, W.T. “Dub” Neeley of Copperas Cove, TX, Gerald Neeley of Hale Center, TX; three sisters, Merry Cargill of Hale Center, TX, Margaret Cannon of Arkansas, Clara Grimsley; five grandchildren, Tristan Jones and wife Corey, Kolby Seago and wife Lori, Kodee Morgan and husband Dusty, Rebekah Neeley, Hannah Neeley; and two great grandchildren, Jayden Jones and Kinsley Jones. The family suggests memorials to the St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or charity of your choice.
