Eleodoro "Leo" Arteaga (Plainview)

Eleodoro “Leo” Arteaga, 88, of Plainview passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Reymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Arteaga was born May 1, 1920 to Juan and Beatrice Arteaga. He married Leonor Arteaga on March 1, 1952. He was a life time resident of Plainview and worked for Sante Fe Railroad for 24 years. Mr. Arteaga was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife: Leonor Arteaga; three daughters: Ermalinda Baeza, Norma Arteaga and Cindy Arteaga all of Plainview; eight sons: John Arteaga of Mendota, Illinois, Henry Arteaga of Plainview, Oscar Arteaga of Plainview, David Arteaga of Plainview, Peter Arteaga of Plainview, Eleodoro Arteaga, Jr. of Odessa, Edward Arteaga of Hobbs, New Mexico and Reyes Arteaga of Plainview. He was preceded in death by his parents: Juan and Beatrice Arteaga; one brother: Pedro “Pete” Arteaga and one granddaughter: Gabrieal “Gabby” Arteaga.
