Andres Mauro Montez (Plainview)

Andres Mauro Montez, 81, passed away March 21, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday March 24, 2016 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Montez was born November 30, 1934 in McAllen, Texas to Inez & Tranquillina Montez. He married Julia Munoz in August of 1964. Mr. Montez retired from the City of Plainview. He was preceded in death by one son: Noel Montez and one brother: Inez Montez, Jr. He is survived by his wife: Julia Montez of Plainview; two daughters: Edelmira Chavez & husband Ernest of Amarillo and Nelly Montez of Lubbock; two sons: Frank Estrada & wife Yvette of Plainview and Eliseo “Alex” Montez & wife Evelyn of San Antonio; one brother: Antonio Montez of Hoopston, Illinois; two sisters: Delfina Mesa of Edinburg and Sara Vega of McAllen; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
