Terry Carter, 60, passed away last night in his home. A memorial service will be held on April 2, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas at 2 P.M. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Friday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas. Mr. Carter was born on October 15, 1955 in Plainview, Texas to Troy and Edith Carter. He married Brenda Adair on June 30, 1978 in Plainview, Texas. He was a loving father, master craftsmen, teacher and Poppy to his granddaughters. He was a member of First United Methodist in Hale Center. He served on many boards with the City of Plainview and was a past president of the Plainview Roadrunners. He loved his old cars and looking for treasures. Survivors include his wife: Brenda Carter of Hale Center, Texas; one daughter: Melissa Carter and her husband Tate Pfeiff; one son: Jon and his wife Krista Carter; two sisters: Tangy and her husband Larry Garrison of Tulia, Texas, Tina and her husband Kenny Hamilton of Linden, Texas; one step-sister: Brandi Brown; one brother: Troy Randall (Randy) Carter of Hale Center, Texas; father: Troy and his wife Nancy Carter of Plainview, Texas; his step-father: Herman Temple of Atlanta, Texas; his mother-in-law: Peggy Adair of Plainview, Texas and three grandchildren: Katelyn, Lauren and Brenlee.
