Dorothy English Bell (Plainview)

Dorothy English Bell, 99, of Plainview, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, May 11, 2009, in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Johnny McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens in Dimmitt, Texas under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Dorothy was born on January 1, 1910 in Ryan, Oklahoma to Lee and Florence English. She married Roy Bell in 1928 in Dimmitt, Texas. They moved to Plainview with the State Highway Department in 1943. She was a member of 9th and Columbia Church of Christ. She worked at West Pharmacy for many years. Roy preceded her in death in 1996. They never had any children of their own. She moved to Westridge Manor, where they were so good to her and did everything for her. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and many caring friends. The family suggests memorials to the 9th and Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview.
