Paul Edward Schmidt (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas –Paul Edward Schmidt, 69, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Tulia. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Oscar Chavez officiating. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Paul was born on July 2, 1946 to Paul and Alice Schmidt. He grew up in Southern California and graduated on June 1964 from Fowler Union High School. Paul joined the United States Navy and was honorable discharged on October 5, 1971. He later attended Riverside College at Riverside California. He worked for GTE Phone Company for 30 years in the Southern part of California. He retired and later came to Tulia in 2013. Paul was a wonderful man who showed love to all his family. Paul would like to share this bible verse, And he said, “My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee Rest.” ( Exodus 33:14). He is preceded in death by his father: Paul Schmidt. He is survived by his friend: Paula Johnson of Tulia, one son: Mike Schmidt of California, step daughter: Casey Watkins of Tulia, his mother: Alice Sailer of Idaho, two brothers: Mike Schmidt and wife Mary of Fresno, California and Jerome Seven of California, one sister: Linda Schmidt of Washington, three grandchildren: Landon Schmidt, Presli Adams and Lennon Davis.
