Charlotte Bolding Ballard, 74, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Oscar Chavez, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Kornerstone. Charlotte was born on January 31, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to J.B and Dorothy Bolding. She grew up and attended schools in Plainview. She was a Beautician by trade and was a hairdresser for many years. She married Richard Ballard on November 11, 1966. She was known as Mom, MoMo, and Nana to her family. She enjoyed fishing and family time at the lake. She also loved to work in the garden. She had a love of music that she passed down to her children and could play by ear, any song she heard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ballard; daughter, Lori Lynn Ballard; her parents, J.B. and Dorothy Bolding; and a brother, Jerry Bolding. Charlotte is survived by her three children, Robert Dale Ballard and wife Shasta of Amarillo, Beth Ann Butcher and husband Wayne of Amarillo, Randi Gayle Wright and husband Brett of Plainview; two brothers, Ronnie Bolding and wife Sue of Plainview, Stanley Bolding and wife Marcy of Cedar Hill, TX; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
