Melvin James Bradley, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Kyle Brock, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Friday morning in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Mr. Bradley was born April 26, 1929 in Colony Community, Oklahoma to Bill & Bertha Bradley. He married Joy Walker on September 1, 1951 in Olustee, Oklahoma. Mr. Bradley worked as a farmer for many years. He was a loving husband to his wife Joy Bradley and a wonderful father to his children Connie Seale, Pam Hood, and Doug Bradley. Mr. Bradley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lockney, Texas. He is preceded in death by his son, Doug Bradley; daughter, Brenda Bradley; parents Bill and Bertha Bradley; one brother, Marten Bradley. He is survived by his wife, Joy Bradley of Plainview, Texas; two daughters, Connie Seale & husband Donnie of Amarillo, Texas and Pam Hood & husband Marty of Plainview, Texas; one brother, Marvin Bradley & wife Frances of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Melissa Murphree & husband David of Plainview, Texas, Heather Irby & husband Ryan of Dallas, Texas and Brandon Seale & wife Jenna of Lubbock, Texas; three step grandchildren, Matt Hood and wife Sarah of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Nathan Hood of Lubbock, Texas, Natalie Coffin and husband Ryan of Lubbock, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Gracie, Hunter and Daxson Murphree of Plainview, Texas, Caroline Irby of Dallas, Texas and Carson Seale of Lubbock, Texas; and two step great-grandchildren, Cameron and Landon Hood of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
