Jason Paul Kelm (Plainview)

Jason Paul Kelm, 27, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Plainview. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 1, 2009, at First Christian Church in with Rev. Gerald Boerger of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Jason was born March 8, 1982 in Plainview. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 2001. He graduated from South Plains College in 2004 with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He has been farming partners with his father since 2005. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Jason chose to be a LifeGift Organ Donor to help better someone else’s life. Jason married DeLisa Milstead on December 31, 2008. Survivors include his wife, DeLisa Kelm of Plainview; two step-daughters, Courtney Isom and Candalee Isom both of Plainview; his father, Ricky Kelm of Plainview; his mother, Christi Johnson of Austin; sister, Ashley Kelm of Manchaca; paternal grandmother, Wanda Kelm of Plainview; maternal grandmother, Greta Marks of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Melvin Kelm and J.N. Marks, Jr. The family suggests memorials to a Courtney and Candalee Isom Scholarship Fund, c/o Hale County State Bank or the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
