Tulia, Texas—Billie Joe Hall, Sr., 70, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, Texas with Rev. Anthony Knowles, FBC in Hedley officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Hall was born on March 16, 1946 in Memphis, Texas to Reed and Mabel Hall. He grew up there and attended Memphis schools. He served in the US Navy. He was a plumber for several years, a truck driver for several years and he was the maintenance director for the Warren Estates Apartments in Amarillo for several years. He was a Mason. He moved to Tulia two years ago and worked as the night watchman at the North Plains Compress in Tulia. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Charlie Eugene Hall, a brother: Leroy Hall and a sister: Mary Ham. He is survived by his son: Billy Joe Hall, Jr. of Hedley, two grandchildren: Brady Joe Hall of Minnesota and Kayla Paige Hall of Tulsa, OK and two great grandchildren: Emma Jade Flores and Kayden Hall and one on the way.
