Susan Wylen Painter Schwab (Plainview)

Susan Wylen Painter Schwab, 66, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Friday, July 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. Schwab was born September 23, 1949 in Amherst, Texas to D.M. & Pat Painter. She married Wayne Schwab on August 1, 1969 in Edmonson, Texas. She graduated from Plainview High School. Mrs. Schwab was a stay at home mom, Den Mother, Brownie Leader, Room Mother and worked as a screen printer for J.P.’s Funwear. She was preceded in death by her father, D.M. Painter and In-laws, Melvin &Juna Faye Schwab. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Schwab of Lubbock; one daughter, Robyn Evans & husband Jason from Tulia; one son, Doug Schwab & wife Louise of Artesia, NM; her mother, Pat Painter of Edmonson; one brother, Tommy Painter of Edmonson; brother-in-law, Scott Schwab & life partner Mark Messinger of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nephew, David Painter & wife Michelle of Plainview; niece, Tracie Lewis & husband Roy of Lafayette, LA; three grandchildren, Matthew Schwab, Jade Schwab and Logan Schwab; several great and great great nieces & nephews and “Momma’s Strays” all of the kids that called her Mom. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
