Tulia, Texas—Pamela White, 43, and Lacie White, 18, passed away together on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Canyon. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the First Baptist Church in Canyon. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Pamela was born on August 18, 1972 in Tulia to Gene and Donna McCaslin Byram. She grew up in Goldsmith, Texas until the fifth grade when she moved to Odessa. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1991. She married Mike White on June 26, 1992 and lived in Odessa until they moved to Amarillo in 2013. Pam had a passion for photography. She worked in the Customer Service department at the Wal-Mart in Canyon. She had a heart of Gold, she loved everyone and her kids were her pride and joy. Mike and Pamela were foster parents and she gave so much love to the children and she gave them a taste of what family meant. Lacie was born on September 25, 1997 in Odessa. She graduated Canyon High School in 2016. Lacie at a very young age set her heart on becoming a lawyer when she grew up. She even accepted an internship with a local law firm. She was baptized at the age of 11. God changed her heart and gave her a love for helping the poor and needy and those around her even though she didn’t know them. She taught classes to those working to get their GED at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch. She had a golden voice and loved to sing. She was so excited when she was accepted at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview and WTAMU in Canyon. She planned on attending WTAMU this semester. They are survived by their husband and father: Mike White of Canyon, son and brother: Dustyn White of Odessa, daughter and sister: McCaylea White of Canyon, parents and grandparents: Gene and Sandra Byram of Amarillo and Donna Robertson of Odessa and Lacie’s other grandparents: Susan and Dwight Hankins of Odessa, three brothers and uncles: Michael and Anita Byram of Odessa, Kristopher and Stephanie Norred of Goldsmith and Eric Byram of Amarillo, aunts on Lacie’s dad’s side: Stephanie and Bill Ward of Odessa and Michele and Scott Willingham of Ft. Worth and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to send a special “Thank You” to their extended Wal-Mart family and a special “Thank You” to the Randall Co. Sheriff’s Department, the Canyon EMS and the Department of Public Safety Officers for their love and caring hearts. A special “Thank You” to Officer John Wilkerson from Austin, TX for his compassion in stopping to render aid seconds after the accident and staying with them until help arrived.
