Larry Dale McMurrian (Plainview)

Larry Dale McMurrian, 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Friday, September 23, 2016 at the funeral home. Mr. McMurrian was born August 28, 1944 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to Charlie Allison and Cora Lee McMurrian. He married Barbara Wallace on September 28, 1974 in Olton. He worked for Sears, Goodyear, Shook Tire Company, Bill Wells Chevrolet and worked for over 30 years as a service tech for Alvin’s Automotive and Doug’s Advanced Automotive. Mr. McMurrian was an avid bowler and bowled in a Mixed League, Travel League and a Men’s League for many years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a granddaughter. Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara McMurrian of Plainview; two sons, Tony McMurrian and wife Gayla of Odessa and Tim McMurrian and wife Jennifer of Glen Pool, Ok; one daughter, Tanda Curry and husband John of Odessa; three step daughters, Rhonda Morton of Plainview, Renee Haarmeyer of Lubbock and Regina Brown and husband Joe; one brother, Donald McMurrian and wife Wanda of Twin Falls, Idaho; one sister, Judy Dugan and husband Terry of North Bend, Oregon; three grandsons, twelve granddaughters, three great granddaughters and one great grandson. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
