Susana Reyna Lopez (Plainview)

Susana Reyna Lopez, 99, of Plainview passed away Friday, July 3, 2009 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Genesis Baptist Church with Rev. Carlos Hinojos officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A time of sharing will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 7 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Mrs. Lopez was born May 24, 1910 in Elgin, Texas to Francisco and Gregoria Riojas Reyna. She married Arnulfo M. Lopez on February 7, 1926 in Austin. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1968. Mrs. Lopez was a Baptist Pastor’s wife and missionary in Texas and Mexico for 42 years. She was a great women of prayer and faithful service who was passionate about missionary service. Mrs. Lopez was a member of Genesis Baptist Church and a member and volunteer of R.S.V.P. She is survived by eight daughters: Ruth Mitchell and husband Benny of Bertram, Rebecca Mendoza and husband Andrew of Waco, Noemi Cavazos and husband Joe of Leander, Rachel Camargo and husband Joe of Plainview, Esther Arredondo and husband Sone of Monroe, Louisiana, Bertha Rogers of Plainview, Ofelia Lopez of Plainview and Elizabeth Richardson of Plainview; one son: Arnold Lopez of Amarillo; two sisters: Eva Gonzales of Allende, Mexico and Victoria Ramirez of Elgin; twenty seven grandchildren, forty nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
