Mike Galvan, 62, of Plainview passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Andres Mendoza L. and Rev. Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 5-7 P.M. with a Rosary service starting at 7 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Mr. Galvan was born March 2, 1947 in Anson, Texas to Florencio and Mariana Trevino Galvan. He married Simona Montez on December 23, 1964 in Plainview. He moved to Plainview in 1959 and worked in road construction for High Plains Pavers and TX-DOT. Mr. Galvan was a life time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Simona Galvan of Plainview; two sons: Henry Galvan and wife Angie of Plainview and Michael Galvan and wife Amber of Hobbs, New Mexico; two daughters: Sally Marroquin and husband Randy of Plainview and Cathy Sarabia and husband Albert of Lubbock; nine grandchildren: John Henry, Mikel J. and Kristen Galvan, Kiahna and Ari Marroquin, Aaron and Myka Sarabia, Ryan and Alex Galvan; one great granddaughter: Mia Galvan; six sisters: Luisa Seballos of Abilene, Feliz Cervantes of Lamesa, Hortencia Rodriguez of Amarillo, Loy Chapa of Plainview, Janie Gonzales of Tulsa and Eva Galvan of San Antonio and two brothers: Eligio Galvan of Plainview and Raul Jimenez of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Jesse Galvan, Carlos Galvan, Gilberto Galvan, Adan Galvan and Jose Lozano; three sisters: Audelia Garcia, Maria Ruiz and Lydia Ochoa. Pallbearers will be Rene Ochoa, Navor Ochoa, Jr., Johnny Galvan, Michael Chapa, Robert Seballos and Robert Galvan. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Area Community Hospice 3109 Olton Road, Ste.
