Lydia Aguirre Lopez (Plainview)

Lydia Aguirre Lopez, 38, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Trinity Life Church with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M., Friday, September 30, 2016 at the funeral home. Lydia was born on December 31, 1977 in Houston, Texas. She married Joel Lopez on July 22, 2006 in Plainview. She graduated from South Plains College school of Nursing and worked for Brownfield Regional Medical Center and Central Plains Center. She was a member of Trinity Life Church in Plainview. She was preceded in death by one sister, Niki Garcia. Lydia is survived by her husband, Joel Lopez; three daughters, Abree Samarripa, Aris Samarripa and Madeline Rose Lopez; one son, Angelo Samarripa; her mother, Romelia Garcia & Gerardo Guzman; her father, Ignacio Aguirre, Sr.; her grandmother, Nicolasa Del Campo; one brother, Ignacio Aguirre, Jr.; one sister, April Garcia and one granddaughter, Kaylee Trejo. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
