Geneva Malone(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Geneva L. Malone, 89, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ernie McGaughey, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Geneva was born December 15, 1919 in Tulia to John and Vera Lemmon. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1938. She worked for Heard and Jones Drug Store before she married Hayden Malone on February 10, 1940. She then worked for Love Brothers Oil Company for several years before retirement. Mr. Malone died March 29, 1995. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tulia. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Sherry Malone of Tulia.
