Gloria Mires (Plainview)

Gloria Mires, 67, of Plainview passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in Plainview. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Seth Ward Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Mires was born May 9, 1942 in Childress to Bill and Birdie Woodard. She spent her early childhood in Ralls before moving to Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1960. She married Don Kever Mires on March 29, 1960 in Plainview. She was a bookkeeper for many years for several different businesses. She was a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. Don preceded her in death on September 16, 2008. She is survived by three children, Tina Morgan and husband Gary of Plainview, Darrell Mires and wife Kim of Kress, Koree Mires and wife Kelly of Allen; one sister, Betty Austin of Mission; and nine grandchildren.
