Barbara Jean Wood(Plainview)

Barbara Jean Wood, 77, of Plainview passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Gayle Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held at Kornerstone on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Barbara was born on December 11, 1938 in Whitewright, Texas to James and Geneva Cooper. Barbara was always kind hearted, bubbly, full of life and had a great since of humor. She was always a friend when you needed one. She was also a great wife and mother. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Daniel Wimberly; and a brother Dale Cooper. Survivors include her husband Ronnie Wood of Plainview; two sons, Doyl Kenneth Wimberly, Jr and wife Juanita of Illinois and Robert Michael Wimberly and wife Darla of Plainview; two brothers, Jerry Cooper and wife Becky of Tulia and James Cooper and wife Emma of Tulia; two sisters, Gale Roberts of Plainview and Patsy Smith and husband Tony of Tyler; two grandchildren, Catherine Wimberly and Hannah Wimberly.
