Luella Sue Kirkland Havard (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Luella Sue Kirkland Havard, 78, died Monday, July 27, 2009 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2009 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with her son John Edd Rowlett, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Luella Sue was born March 5, 1931 in Pitcher, Oklahoma. She grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia schools. She was a waitress in Tulia for several years. She worked at the fountain in City Drug Store for several years and also worked for the Tulia Bus Station. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Roy Edward Kirkland and Harry Vernard Havard. Survivors include one son: John Edd Rowlett and his wife Patsy of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, two daughters: Cheryl Rowley of Amarillo and Janine Pepper and her husband Brady of Seymour, eight grandchildren: John Edd Rowlett, Jr., Tara Shackelford, Troylon Pepper, Stephni Sue Woodard, Edie Odneal, Shaun McFaul, Rene Sue Thomas and Courtni McFaul and 17 great grandchildren.
