Tulia, Texas—JoAnn “Jody” Grantham Teafatiller Edwards, 87, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. JoAnn was born on July 6, 1929 in the Red Hill Community of Swisher County and was the third child born to M. C. and Myrtle Grantham. She lived all her life in Swisher County. She graduated from Kress High School in 1947. She married Dois Teafatiller on December 6, 1952. She attended Lippert’s Business College in Plainview and also took real estate classes at both Wayland and Amarillo College. She received her broker’s license in 1982. She married Donald Edwards on March 9, 1984. JoAnn worked in the banking business for 44 years retiring in 1997. After retirement she worked for Wallace Funeral Home for 5 years and Kornerstone Funeral Directors for 12 years. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Rose, Silas and Don Grantham, one sister: Carmelita Brewer and her son-in-law: Leo Howard. She is survived by her daughter: Karen Howard of Amarillo, three sons: Barry Teafatiller and wife Wanda of Edmonson, Kerry “Button” Teafatiller and wife Jenny of Littlefield and Benny Teafatiller and wife Michelle of Amarillo, also Donald’s children: Donna and Gary Starnes of Pampa and Tony and Sharon Edwards of Amarillo, one sister: Barbara McClurg of Tulia, twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
