Tulia, Texas—Don Hall, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jason Stone and Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Don Tyson Hall was born on January 31, 1943 in Swisher County to George Tyson and Marguerite Thomas Hall. He grew up in Swisher County and graduated from Tulia High School. He received a BBA from the University of Texas. He lived in Alexandria, VA and Corpus Christi before moving back to Tulia. He married Diane Jameson on February 7, 1969 in Claytonville. He was a farmer and rancher and also worked for W.R. Grace Chemical Co. He was a Master Certified Peace Officer for the State of Texas and a Rural Mail Carrier for Tulia’s mail route 2, which is the job he enjoyed more than any other besides seeing a new baby calf born or needed rain on crops. He was a member of the Son’s of the American Revolution, also a member of First Baptist Church where he especially enjoyed his Sunday school class. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite Hall and one brother; Mike Hall. He is survived by his wife: Diane Hall of Tulia, two sons: Derek Hall and wife Niki of Garden City, Kansas and Bubba Hall of Sanford, Texas, his sister: Susan Wyatt of Tulia and four grandchildren: Leanda Hall, Kenzie Garton, Braden Hall and Jerad Stewart.
