Tulia, Texas—Bobby Ray Johnson, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Veals officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Bobby Ray Johnson was born on October 8, 1944 in Decatur, Texas to Roosevelt and Dora Vietta Johnson. He attended school at Booker T. Washington High School in Plainview. He met his first wife and had four kids: Bobby Johnson, Jr., Tina Johnson, Demarreo Johnson and adopted son: Christopher Pollard. Later he met and married Doretha and had one child and three step-children: Reganald Johnson, Udis Moore, Jamie Moore and Ricky Moore. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son: Bobby Johnson, Jr. and his siblings: R.L., Rosie, Willie Mae, John, Lillie, Hubert, Frank, Leanna, Billie and Jackie. Bobby worked for the Department of Public Safety of nine years in the auto transportation department. He was also a carpenter. He is survived by his wife: Doretha Johnson of Tulia, his children: Tina Johnson and John, Demarreo Johnson, Christopher Pollard, Reganald Johnson and Evonne of Tulia, Udis Moore and Willie of Childress, Jamie Moore of Amarillo and Ricky Moore and Jenn of Tulia, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother: Maurice and Barbara Johnson of Wichita and his sister: Cora and Charles Yarbrough of Tulia and a host of nieces and nephews.
