Robert Buentello (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Robert Diaz Buentello, 79, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:00 am in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Rosary and Prayer service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Robert was born on September 30, 1937 to Crescencio and Cecila Buentello. He went to school in Granger, Texas and came to Tulia in 1968 as a Body Technician and worked at Frontier Body Shop in Tulia for many years. He moved to Amarillo in 1986 and was the owner of Roberts Body Shop. He was very well known as Mr. Robert. He liked his friends, his beer and driving his truck. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Amarillo. He is preceded in death by many brothers and sisters and his parents. He is survived by his children; Sylvia Cruz of Lubbock, Robert Buentello, Jr. and wife Rosie of Amarillo, Richard Buentello of Amarillo and Paul Buentello of Amarillo; his sister, Anita Mendoza of Dallas; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
