Jose "Joe" DeLuna (Plainview)

Jose “Joe” DeLuna, 55, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. DeLuna was born October 11, 1953 in Petersburg to Luis, Sr. and Dominga Ybarra DeLuna. He attended Plainview High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother: Dominga DeLuna of Plainview; three daughters: Melody of Modesto, California, Joanna of Edinburg and Elsa of Edinburg; three sons: Joey DeLuna of Edinburg, Luis Antonio DeLuna of Modesto, California and Luis DeLuna of Edinburg; three brothers: Jerry DeLuna and his wife Janie of Plainview, Tony DeLuna and his wife Jo Anne of Corpus Christi and Lupe DeLuna and his wife Tammy of Plainview; three sisters: Sophia Saldana and her husband Ernest of Plainview, Elena Garcia and her husband Arthur, Jr. of Lubbock and Sara Flores and her husband Johnny of Sherman; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Luis DeLuna, Sr. and one brother: Luis DeLuna, Jr.
