Jim Nathan Fox(Plainview)

Jim Fox, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away suddenly on Christmas day at his home in Petersburg, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service to be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Estacado Cemetery in Lubbock County at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6-8 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Jim loved his country and proudly served in the United States Army. He also loved his hometown of Petersburg and served as city councilman and mayor for over 25 years. He loved a good joke and making people laugh. Jim is survived by his wife Cynthia, whom he loved dearly, as well as his sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Tamara Fox of Lubbock, TX, Tim and Dana Fox of Idalou, TX and four precious grandchildren, Jade, Alli, Kira and Destry. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Tylene and Mentor Mac Heard of Houston, MO, a brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Carol Fox of Petersburg, TX, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. As per his request, a memorial party will be planned for early summer with hopes of sharing lots of laughs and fond memories. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Ronald McDonald House 3413 10th St Lubbock, TX 79415 or St. Judes Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
