Peggy Jo Jones, 71, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Carrollton, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Kress Cemetery at 11 A.M. on Wednesday January 11, 2017. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. Peggy was born on October 16, 1945 to Jack and Rachel Reed in Kress, TX. She grew up in Kress and remained there until she moved to Carrollton, TX. She loved her children and also loved to read. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Rachel Reed; one sister, Sue Reed. She is survived by her three daughters, Renay Kristapher of Kress, Deana O’Neil of Kress and Brenda Stopford of Kress; three brothers, W. F. Reed of Kress, Harold Reed of Whitesboro, TX and Clifton Reed of Collinsville, TX; three grandchildren, Monty Clayton & wife Tamara of Clarks, NE, Lacey Garcia & husband Sergio of Dallas, TX, and Jackie Jones of Plainview, TX; one great-grandchild, Henry Clayton of Clarks, NE.
