Tulia, Texas—Thelma Damron, 82, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Tulia with Rev. Eddy Helms officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Plainview. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Thelma was born on December 26, 1934 in Edna, Oklahoma to Henry and Eunice Reinhardt. She went to nursing school in Amarillo and later came to work for Dr. Richards for many years. She also worked in the Tulia hospital. She was an active participant of the International Crusades and made trips to Central and South America, Mexico and Canada sharing her personal relationship of Jesus Christ. Thelma was an inspirational Sunday school teacher and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: J.W. Damron, Jr., two brothers: Gerald Reinhardt and Ronald Reinhardt. She is survived by her daughter: Karri Ann Damron of Lubbock; one brother: Charles Reinhardt of Montgomery; one sister: Kay Simpson of Tulia and many nieces and nephews.
