Crowell, Texas—Willie Pearl Lampkin, 75, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Matthew Veals, pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church in Tulia officiating. Her body will lie in state at the Little Brook Non-Denominational Church in Crowell from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2009 with burial to follow in the Crowell Cemetery. Willie was born February 9, 1934 in Tracy, Texas to Revert and Vera Lee Williams. She grew up in Milam Co., Texas and attended schools there. She married Johnny Wheat Lampkin in 1949. He died May 7, 1984. She was a housewife. Survivors include one daughter: Ola Faye Yarbrough of Crowell, three sisters: Jean Williams Powell of Quanah, Thelma Johnson of Tulia and Hellen Williams of Tulia, two brothers: Henry Williams of Houston and Douglas Williams of Bakersfield, CA, two granddaughters: Michelle Denise Yarbrough and Joann Yarbrough and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wheat Lampkin, one son: Samuel Ray Lampkin, four brothers: Robert Lee, T.J., Adrian and Shyan and one grandson.
