Barbara Cerda(Plainview)

Barbara Cerda, 90, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Plainview. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10 A.M. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Phillip Hamilton officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. A visitation will be held on Monday January 16, 2017 from 7-8 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. She was born in Fort Chadbourne, Texas on February 20, 1926 to Pedro and Marcella Ortiz. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Marcella Ortiz; her husband Margarito Cerda; two brothers, Herbert and Simon Ortiz; two sisters Pauline Puentes and Gloria Cerda. She is survived by four children, Jaime Cerda of Plainview, TX, Maria Recio of Amarillo, TX, Reynaldo Cerda of Claremore, Ok and Fernando Cerda of Del Rio, TX; twelve grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Ortiz of Plainview, TX, David Ortiz of Big Lake, TX and Tommy Ortiz of Andrews, TX.
