Julia M. Montez (Plainview)

Julia M. Montez, 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. A rosary will be held at 6 P.M. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Mrs. Montez was born on April 6, 1933 in Escobares, Texas to Feliberto & Martina Ramos. She married Andres Montez in August of 1964. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2016. She is survived by two daughters, Edelmira Chavez & husband Ernest of Amarillo and Nelly Montez of Lubbock; two sons, Frank Estrada & wife Yvette of Plainview and Eliseo “Alex” Montez & wife Evelyn of San Antonio; two brothers, Raymundo Munoz of Roma, Texas and Mario Munoz of Angleton, Texas; one sister, Olivia Munoz of Donna, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
