Silverton, Texas—James Michael Hall, Sr., 66 passed away on January 16, 2017 in Amarillo. Cremation services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Memorial services will be planned at a later date. James was born on November 11, 1950 in Sherman, Texas to Jesse Carl and Stella Louise Hall. He grew up in Dimmitt and Tulia where he attended schools. He joined the US Army in Sept. 1967 and was honorably discharged in August 1969. He returned to Tulia and farmed. He married Betty Jean Whitson on January 23, 1970 in Plainview. He moved to Silverton from Oklahoma in 1992. He worked for Briscoe Implement Co. as a diesel mechanic for ten years. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Carolyn Braddock and Diane Wright and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife: Betty Jean Hall of Silverton, one daughter: Stella Sharp of Snyder, OK, three sons: Jesse Hall of Silverton, James Hall, Jr. of Jones, OK and John Hall of Silverton, two brothers: Benny David Hall of Boynton, OK and Jesse Albert Hall of Soper, OK, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
