Tommy Carl George (Plainview)

Tommy George, 78, of Kress passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview with Mr. Bryan Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Tommy Carl George was born on June 5, 1938 in Tulia, Texas to W.C. & Ollie George. They moved to Kress when he was a child and attended school there. He graduated from Kress High School. He worked for Johnny’s Butane and Scott Tractor before he went to work for Reed Family Farms as a farm hand. Tommy was a member of the Kress Church of Christ. He married Jean George on October 13, 1990 in Kress. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two sisters . Tommy is survived by one sister, Carol Barrett of Ft. Worth; one brother, Benny Wayne George of Hurst; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
