Tulia, Texas— Glenda White, 77, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Thacker Haynes and Rev. Karan Young officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Glenda was born on March 3, 1939 in Tulia to James and O’neta Ewing. She grew up in Tulia and attended Tulia schools. She married Don White on December 22, 1954. She was a homemaker and a waitress. They moved to Amarillo in 1967 and later moved to McLean in 1991. They moved back to Tulia in 2011. She was a loving mother and an awesome “Nana”. The family would like to express a special thanks to the caregivers of Area Community Hospice for their loving care to Glenda and her family. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Donald Ewing. She is survived by her husband: Don White of Tulia, two daughters: Terry McAvoy and husband Joe of Amarillo and Kelly Stavenhagen and husband Rick of Amarillo, one son: Donnie White and wife Gail of Derby, Kansas, three sisters: Christine Gunnels of Tulia, Melba White of Tulia and Vicky Bowers of Hampton, Tennessee, three brothers: Tommy Ewing of Tulia, Jack Ewing of Tulia and Bobby Ewing of Amarillo, 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
