Kenneth Garrett (Plainview)

Kenneth Garrett, 83, beloved husband and father, was called Home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 19, 2017. He was born on August 16, 1933 in Levelland, TX, born to Floyd "Buck" and Eucie Garrett. He is survived by his wife Jan Garrett of Arvada CO, daughter Tania Guy and spouse Stephen and grandson Garrett of Golden CO, also daughter Debra Harrell of Springfield LA, sister Louise Kirk and spouse W.T. of Kress TX, and brother Bruce Garrett and spouse Barbara of Plainview TX. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd "Buck" Garrett, mother Eucie Garrett, brother Dwain Garrett, and daughter Linda Jo Holt. Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 - 1980. He began serving aboard Surface Ships then transitioned into Nuclear Submarines - FBM and Fast Attack - achieving the rank of MMCM (E-9). In his civilian life, he was Systems Analyst at a Nuclear Power Plant in St. Francisville LA, retired 1999. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 25, 2017 at 10 AM at Kornerstone Funeral Directors, Plainview TX. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery in Kress, Texas under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held starting at 9 A.M up until service time.
