Betty Jo Davis (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas--Funeral Services for Betty Jo Davis, 84, will be Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be held at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia, TX with Jack Wheeler officiating. Mrs. Davis died at 10:02 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 in the home of Betty and Robert Gilmore, Tulsa, OK She was born October 25, 1924 in Burkburnett, TX and resided in Tulia, TX 62 years before moving to Tulsa in 2001. Survivors include Lyndell Davis of Tulia, TX; Warren Davis of Plainview, TX; Betty Gilmore of Tulsa, OK; Walter Davis “Dub” of Amhurst, TX; Lynda Freeman of Oklahoma City, OK; Bonnie Tindel of Lovington, NM; one sister, Jesse Chandler of Camby, OR; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by husband, Leonard Lee Davis, daughter, Patsy Marriott; son, Sammy Davis and a great granddaughter, Cecelle Jenkins. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia, TX, 201 W. Broadway. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia.
