Martin Carrasco was born on November 11, 1944 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ysidro and Elvira Carrasco. His siblings are Hippolito Carrasco, Emmiterio Carrasco, Salome Carrasco, Cruz Carrasco Rey, Eduvijes Rey and Manuela Subealdea. He became a U.S. Citizen in 1968 and worked as a farmer, hand chopping sugar beets. He met Simona Luna in Tulia in 1970 and got married on September of 1983. He helped raise Sammy Lee Camacho. Later in his marriage he had three other children, Sandra Carrasco, Michelle Bullock and Sylvia Carrasco. He has seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Danny Camacho; two brothers; Armando and Jimmy Carrasco. Martin loved life to the fullest and his priority was to see his wife happy and healthy. He made sure she had everything to the best of his ability. He raised his family to be hard workers and respectful. He loved his family and always gives the best advice. He was a very unselfish man and would give the last of what he had even if it meant he was left with nothing. He worked in many industries in grain companies, cotton fields, and feedlots mostly in the mill. His real passion was his yard work. He loved planting flowers and trees, watering and mowing his yard. The heart God gave this man was the heart of gold, the heart to love his family unconditionally, the heart to go above and beyond for others, the heart that made you laugh when you were down or just having a bad day. He will be remembered as that funny husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law. He will be remembered for the great man he was. God we thank you for the time you allowed us to have with him and the memories we made and shared with him. We know letting go will never be easy, but knowing he went home to see you gives us peace and understanding. His time has come to an end, but we know a new beginning with you God begins.
