Pat Allen (Plainview)

Pat Allen, 60, of Plainview passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery in Halfway under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Pat was born on June 5, 1956 in Windom, Minnesota to Robert and Mary Weiland. She grew up in Windom and attended schools there. She earned her diploma at Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She moved to Lubbock in 1989 from Oklahoma. She was a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for 10 years. Her last job was Director of nursing for Area Home Health Care before retiring in 2014. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church where she was very active in the University Department. She is survived by her husband: Mike Allen of Plainview, two daughters: Becky Jackson and Jennifer Allen, both of Plainview, her mother: Mary Weiland of Brandon, South Dakota, two brothers: Steve Weiland of Naches, Washington and John Weiland of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, two sisters: Cheryl Darnall of Bennington Nebraska and Marsha Green of Grand Rapid, Minnesota, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
